Halloween in Singapore falls on Saturday 31 October 2026, and almost every family programme ends the next day. If you want trick-or-treating and costumes without haunted houses, the final weekend from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November still has four ticketed options (TRICK or THRILLS at Universal Studios Singapore, The Mischief Within at Mandai's Curiosity Cove, Into the Glowcean at Singapore Oceanarium and Legend Keepers at Adventure Cove Waterpark) and one free evening, the Great Pumpkin Trail finale at Downtown East in Pasir Ris on 31 October from 5pm to 9pm.

The choice comes down to your children's ages, daytime or after dark, and what you will pay on top of normal admission.

At a glance

  • Halloween: Saturday 31 October 2026. Resorts World Sentosa's Festival of Thrills runs from 1 September to 1 November 2026 (RWS festival guide).
  • Mandai: The Mischief Within's daytime programme runs daily to 1 November, 10am to 5.30pm, included with Curiosity Cove admission, though candy bags and crafts cost extra. Its after-dark Sundown sessions run 23 to 25 October and 30 October to 1 November, 6.30pm to 9.30pm (Mandai event page).
  • Free: Downtown East's Grand Finale on 31 October, 5pm to 9pm, with trick-or-treating at participating stores and a costume contest (Downtown East).
  • Not for young children: Halloween Horror Nights 14 has peak nights on 29, 30 and 31 October and 1 November, and RWS does not recommend it for under-13s.
  • School: Friday 30 October is a school day for most pupils; MOE's Term IV for primary and secondary schools runs to 20 November, though schools used as O-Level written examination venues end their term on 23 October (MOE school terms 2026).

Which Halloween events in Singapore are not scary?

Each was checked on 22 October 2026 on its operator's pages (Into the Glowcean on the RWS guide only, as the Oceanarium page refused our connection). "Included" means the Halloween activity comes with normal admission, not that the attraction is free.

  • TRICK or THRILLS, Universal Studios Singapore (best for families with younger children and character fans). Daytime Halloween to 1 November, included in regular park admission. Its event page gives 10am to 8pm, but 10am to 6pm on Halloween Horror Nights nights, which include 29 October to 1 November. It offers The Belloween Ball (a new Minions show), trick-or-treating with candy giveaways and characters in Halloween costume. The park's page sells dated tickets in two age groups, child (4 to 12) and adult (13 and above); its title says "from SGD 76", but it showed no price for a date or age group, so check the booking calendar.
  • The Mischief Within, Curiosity Cove (best for 12 and under). A Ranger Buddies mystery with a mission card of seven stamps, a Halloween carnival, crafts and trick-or-treating with roving Rangers. Curiosity Cove is an indoor playscape for children 12 and under, and its page says every guest needs grip socks and each adult may supervise up to two children.
  • Sundown at Curiosity Cove (best for younger children who want an evening out). Everything in the daytime programme plus a trail with a final code to crack, a bubble show and a Victory Parade. It has its own tickets; the event page we read did not show their price, only that Friends of Mandai members get up to 50% off through the Membership Portal.
  • Into the Glowcean, Singapore Oceanarium (best for mixed ages and grandparents). Glowing marine sculptures by glass neon artist Megan Foo, 10am to 8pm, and a skeleton-costumed dive feed at 4pm daily except Mondays and Fridays; RWS also lists live light painting on 31 October (3.30pm and 5pm).
  • Legend Keepers, Adventure Cove Waterpark (best for puzzle-minded children). A browser-based treasure hunt through five stops based on Singapore legends, including Kusu Island, Bukit Merah and Radin Mas Ayu, with candy for finishing. The waterpark's Halloween page gives 10am to 5pm, but 4pm on Saturdays, included with a One-Day Ticket. Its Saturday evening murder mystery, Pool Party Panic (31 October, 4pm to 8pm), "is not recommended for young children".

For a teenager who wants real scares, our Halloween Horror Nights guide covers nights and the late ride home; the official HHN14 guide lists the standard peak ticket at SGD78 and says costume masks are not allowed.

Where can kids trick-or-treat in Singapore for free?

On the final weekend, the no-ticket trick-or-treating we could confirm on an organiser's page is in two places:

  1. Downtown East, Saturday 31 October. NTUC Club's Great Pumpkin Trail, run with BYKidO, ends with a Grand Finale from 5pm to 9pm. Families trick-or-treat at participating stores on their own or on a guided trail (limited slots). To get the Trick-or-Treat Bucket, pick up a trail card at the E!Avenue Level 2 Information Counter, complete at least three activities at participating stores (such as a colouring card, a Halloween maths challenge or a "Floor is Lava" game) and redeem it at the same counter between 10am and 9.30pm; buckets are limited each weekend. A Best Dressed Costume Contest offers up to S$500 in NTUC Club vouchers.
  2. WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October. The RWS guide says families can collect a complimentary trick-or-treat bucket, Halloween tattoos and stickers at the WEAVE Level 1 redemption booth every Friday and Saturday in October, while stocks last. It lists this among WEAVE's spend-and-redeem rewards without naming a minimum spend, so ask at the booth whether a receipt is needed.

We could not verify any residential estate's trick-or-treat night; lists of "popular estates" circulate yearly, so ask your neighbourhood committee or condo management first.

How much does a Halloween day out cost? A worked example

Illustrative: the family is invented; prices are Mandai's local resident rates on 22 October 2026, which its price list says are for a 2-hour session.

Nurul and Wei Jie, Singapore residents, take their daughters, aged 5 and 9, on Saturday 31 October.

  • Admission: Curiosity Cove sells a child ticket that admits one child and one adult. A Saturday is a peak day, so that is S$45 per ticket: S$90 for two tickets covering all four of them. On a regular day, Monday to Friday outside public and school holidays, it would be S$43 a ticket (S$86).
  • Trick or Treat: candy bags are S$6 each, so S$12 for two.
  • Crafty Cauldron: a Neon Glow Painting or Glow Night Lamp is S$6, or three for S$15; two crafts at S$12.
  • If a grandparent joins: a senior add-on would add S$14.

Total for the four: S$114, before food and grip socks if they forget their own. The optional extras add just over a quarter to admission; the programme itself costs nothing more. A Friday is cheaper, but 30 October is a school day and the last weekday entry is 4.30pm, so for most school-age families the Saturday price is the real one.

If one parent books for several families, our group cost splitter divides the bill.

What should you check before the final weekend?

  • The session times. Curiosity Cove says its 5.30pm play session is unavailable on selected Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October because of the Halloween event. Its opening hours are 10am to 5.30pm on weekdays and 10am to 6.30pm on weekends.
  • Costume rules. Universal Studios Singapore applies its published costume policy; Mandai runs Best Dressed Awards, but Curiosity Cove is a shoeless playscape where everyone wears grip socks.
  • What is included. RWS advises checking whether an activity needs a separate ticket or add-on, and Adventure Cove's status on the day, which depends on weather.
  • Getting there. Curiosity Cove is at Mandai Wildlife EAST, 80 Mandai Lake Road, served by the M1 and M2 Khatib bus. Downtown East's website lists a Pasir Ris MRT shuttle; check its times there.
  • Sunday 1 November is the end. TRICK or THRILLS, Into the Glowcean, Legend Keepers and The Mischief Within all list 1 November as their last day.

If an indoor gathering at home suits your group better, our potluck plan for 12 and rainy-day Plan B rule help, and the going-out topic page lists more dated outings.
